 Grampa's History
Here is a short history of Grampa's Trains, You just might be interested.

Grampa's Trains was started on January 4, 1970. The original name - Trains and Stuff was quickly stolen by a fellow in Virginia. In the good ole days my Dad was the original Grampa, named by my oldest two boys. I did custom painting at the start. Painting only HO cabooses, I soon graduated to painting HO freight and passenger cars. By 1974 the business was full blown with custom painting of wood buildings, plastic and brass engines/cars in all scales. The name "Grampa's Trains" was "registered" back then but not actively used since I had yet to become a Grampa.

In 1980 I remarried and Grampa's Trains became parent to Boxcar Annie's Trains, Ann passed away in 1993 and in 1998 I readopted the current name and spelling and Grampa's Trains became the sole name again. The name is still registered with the US Givamint, although it is now called a Trademark.

Grampa's Trains is trademarked and as such we do our best to stand behind everything we sell. While our mainstay is 2 Rail Brass O Scale, we also have some 3 rail items, HO cars and brass and  have purchased  Pecos River Brass's "N" Scale remaining brass stock (Sold Out).

We are slowly turning the site from a sales oriented site to one that will show my Live Steam and O Scale layout. Thank you to all the folks who have befriended my family and who have purchased the trains I have for sale. You are special people and will always remain more than customers.

Thanks for reading this. Enjoy the web site and E-mail me if you have any suggestions for improving it or any questions in general. The secretary (me) will get back to you quickly.
